Halloween

Each year on 31 October all students and staff members are invited to come to school in costume to celebrate Halloween. There is a whole-class costume parade where student costumes have the spotlight. This year we saw quite a few witches, along with many other costumes including dinosaurs, werewolves, and superheroes. The parade is an enjoyable event with music, laughter, and spookiness. Each class holds individual celebrations where they learn more about the origins of the holiday. Plenty of candy and other treats are of course a part of the event! Kindergarten through primary 2 students also receive pumpkins early in the week which they take home to carve. Then, the pumpkins are returned to school on Halloween Day, creating an extra exciting and spooky atmosphere. Happy Halloween!
