A very warm welcome to SIS Basel-Allschwil, a private bilingual day school. We are planning to fully accommodate approximately 100 pupils from Kindergarten to Primary 6. The SIS schools are characterised by a close-knit, vibrant and nurturing multicultural environment. Principal
Andrea Spielmann has been working at SIS Basel since 2012. She was born and grew up in Basel. After her initial education, she decided to study at the FHNW University of Teacher Education in Liestal and successfully completed her degree in 2012 with a final internship in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2018, Andrea Spielmann took over as Head of Primary 2 to 6 and also teaches German, maths, science, visual and technical design and IT. In 2023, she successfully completed the SIS Leadership Programme and will be Head of School at SIS Basel-Allschwil as of February 2024.

SIS Swiss International School is a private educational institution that is financed solely from school fees and does not receive subsidies from the Swiss national or cantonal governments. We offer high-quality education as a service – and we are committed to offering this service in a transparent way.
Teaching and Supervision Hours
At our day school, students are supervised between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The exact lesson and supervision times vary between the different year levels.
