Reading and books are a daily part of our school life. We often use books to obtain information and to enhance our learning. We also love to immerse ourselves in the world of reading and imagination.
This year we celebrated our annual Book Week, looking at literature and reading from many different angles. On the first day, which also fell on Halloween, we dressed up and created our own stories. The next activity was our pyjama day where we got comfortable with pillows and torches and read our favourite books. Later in the week we had the book fair where we could buy English books. One of the highlights was a visit from a Swiss author who taught us about the process of publishing a book. Finally, we were able to watch a puppet show based on the well-known book "The Gruffalo".
We hope that the love of reading was sparked and that it will last forever.
