Dear Parents,
Goodbyes are never easy, and yet they are a necessary part of life. Whether it is saying farewell to a loved one, a friend, or because we are starting a new chapter in our own lives, endings can be both painful and liberating. They mark the end of one thing and the beginning of another, and they remind us that change is a constant in all of our lives.
Even when an ending is planned and expected, they can still be difficult to accept. Graduating from school, leaving a job, moving to a new city or in many of our cases, to a new country can all be very exciting and these experiences can also be accompanied by feelings of sadness and loss.
Goodbyes are a reminder that nothing in life is permanent. We can hold onto memories and cherish the time that had, and we must accept that things will always change and move on. During these times, it is important to remember that as one door closes, another one opens and new opportunities will come.
New opportunities provide a chance for growth, self-discovery and development. They can push us out of our comfort zones and force us to confront our fears and insecurities; giving us the chance to re-evaluate, priorities and make changes in our lives. The key to making the most out of change is to keep an open mind and be willing to give it go.
Goodbyes are never easy, and they serve and important purpose. They remind us of the value of the relationships we have, the importance of cherishing the time we have with one another and the impact that people and things have on our lives.
As I move on from SIS Rotkreuz-Zug and into the next chapter of my life, I wish to thank each and every one of you, students, parents, and colleagues for the wonderful memories over the last 6.5 years. SIS Rotkreuz-Zug has been a major part of my professional career and I feel privileged to have been able to lead the school for the past 3.5 years. I am comfortable with and have confidence in Frau Stefanie George who is taking over from me and I know that she will take the school from strength to strength.
I wish you all one final goodbye and all the best for the future.
Warmest wishes,
Katrina Cameron
