The fascinating Human Body: Exploring our Anatomy

Abwechslungsreicher Unterricht Lebendige Schulgemeinschaft SIS Pfäffikon-Schwyz Gymnasium

Our students explored the human body with an anatomical torso model – learning with precision and enthusiasm.

Matura biology class, the lessons were truly exciting: using a detailed anatomical torso model, our students explored the fascinating structures of the human body. With the help of the model, they experienced firsthand how the body functions. Taking organs out of the torso, examining them, and reassembling them was both educational and engaging. Students identified the location and function of the organs and gained insight into their interactions within the organism. This process not only deepened their understanding but also strengthened their teamwork skills. Particularly captivating was the exploration of the heart, lungs, and digestive organs. The model made complex topics more accessible. “It’s easier to imagine the position and function of organs when you can hold them in your hands,” said one student. Additionally, students creatively documented their findings through presentations and used digital tools to enhance their projects. Such activities showcase how hands-on learning can be impactful – engaging, sustainable, and enriching.
